This quarter meeting was held at Gordy Lodge No.133 in Lecompte. The meal was fantastic as it was the annual cook-off for bragging rights to the best food in the district and to raise funds for our charitable donations for the year. This year had three Lodges entered (Gordy, Harmony and Bayou Chicot) with Bayou Chicot taking home the Knife and Fork Award for the year.
After introduction of the visiting Grand Lodge Officers call of the roll, the awards were presented to the winners.
Bayou Chicot took home the Knife and Fork award along with the Traveling Trowel Award for having the most members present at the District meeting.
With a quorum, 6 Lodges of the District present, the resolution to change the by-laws of the 9th District was approved and will be effective after Grand Lodge approval. The date of the November quarterly meeting will be changed to the second Sunday (November 8, 2026) and the starting time for all of the quarterly meetings has been changed to 1:30 PM.
Our next 9th District quarterly meeting is scheduled for May 3, 2026 at Bayou Chicot #430. Looking forward to meeting many of the newly installed Grand Lodge Officers for 2026-2027 and seeing many of the Brothers from around the District.
